Learning Layouts
|
The program includes five Learning Layouts that are delivered online and in combinations of online and offline settings -- online2. These approaches are adapted to schedules posted in school district professional development programs, school-based calendars, and college catalogs. The LearningLayouts and schedule may be modified for independent study.
- Vision, Data, and Quality Teaching: Includes teaching to a vision, analyzing test data, aligning instruction and assessment, practicing TaskBuilderOnline, developing the first standards-based instruction task, and building a plan for teaching, checking, and acting on the results of teaching the first task in the classroom.
- Standards-Based Instruction and Assessment Activities: Includes analyzing standards-based instruction activities, recognizing and applying the essential features of instruction and assessment activities, developing the second standards-based instruction task, and building a plan for teaching, checking, and acting on the results of teaching the second task in the classroom.
- Scoring Student Performance: Includes analyzing examples of approaches and types of tools for scoring student performances, applying selected and constructed responses assessments, developing the third standards-based instruction task, and building a plan for teaching, checking, and acting on the results of teaching the third task in the classroom.
- Combining Teaching and Technology: Includes analyzing information about combining teaching and technology, observing teachers using technology, exploring examples of combining teaching and technology, developing the fourth standards-based instruction task, and building a plan for teaching, checking, and acting on the results of teaching the fourth task in the classroom.
- School Prototype Standards-Based Tasks: Includes acquiring and applying information about school prototype standards-based tasks, reflecting on standards-based instruction tasks developed in this program, and designing a plan for additional school prototype standards-based tasks to improve teaching and student achievement.

| How does this program work? |
As participants in this eLearningTeacher.com Program, teachers will:
- Complete five online and online2 training and coaching experiences known as LearningLayouts;
- Collaborate online and face-to-face with a training coach;
- Use email to network with and receive feedback from other teachers and coaches;
- Share the results of their training and development efforts with other teachers;
