Program Delivery At-A-Glance
|
| Each eLearningTeacher.com program includes the features described below to support the delivery of training, coaching, and networking with participants using a computer connected to the Internet. On the one hand, teachers may work independently using a computer connected to the Internet -- we call that approach "Online." On the other hand, teachers may combine their work using a computer connected to the Internet with the face-to-face support of a colleague, team of teachers, peer coach, or training consultant -- we call that approach "Online2." |

How Each Feature Works
|
|
LearningLayouts
|
LearningLayouts are a new way for combining people, teaching, technology, and learning to deliver eLearningTeacher.com programs. LearningLayouts deliver online data, information, and knowledge that may be combined with face-to-face training and coaching. |
| Toolbar |
The Toolbar includes links to LearningLayouts; News; Email; TaskBuilderOnline; Video; My Portfolio; and Edit, Profile, Save, Preview, and Undo browser functions. |
| TaskBuilderOnline |
TaskBuilderOnline is a web-based application that supports teachers as professionals. It helps them to develop standards-based instruction and assessment tasks to improve student achievement through quality teaching. TaskBuilderOnline provides a password-protected online folder to store lessons, tasks, and test items and an integrated email system to share work in progress or best works. |

Learning Standards
|
Learning standards define what each participant is expected to know and be able to do as a result of completing each LearningLayout. |
| Prior Knowledge |
Prior knowledge activities help participants to activate their current understanding of the topics in LearningLayouts and to link it to new knowledge acquired and applied in online and online2 activities. |
| New Information |
New information is offered in text, graphic, video, and URL formats for participants to acquire, extend, and apply in sessions and activities. |
| Sessions and Activities |
Sessions and activities are used to teach the learning standards in estimated blocks of time. They include prior knowledge, new information, practice, reflection, and feedback surveys. Participants advance through sessions and activities at their own pace or with a group with the support of an online and online2 trainer/coach. |
| Reflection |
eLearningTeacher.com programs use the process of reflection to create and expand a summary of what participants accomplish in each Learning Layout. |
| My Portfolio |
My Portfolio provides a place to store the results of prior knowledge, practice, and reflection activities for each participant. My Portfolio is password-protected and can be updated by each particpant. It provides for formative and summative assessment of what each participant accomplishes in each LearningLayout. |
| Email |
Email is an integrated feature that provides each participant with the ability to send the results of practice and reflection activities to other participants, a trainer/coach, and other colleagues to share information, seek feedback, and demonstrate examples of best works. |
| Feedback Surveys |
Participants use Feedback Surveys at the end of each LearningLayout to provide feedback anonymously to the trainer/coach about the quality of the sessions and activities. The results provide information for continuously improving the LearningLayouts in each eLearningTeacher.com Program. |
